Rapier and Dagger Certification Course - Weekends 21/22, 28/29 January, 4/5 February 2023
The Musketeers' weapons and Hamlet's weapons. The foundation weapons that give you the techniques, safety and performance principles for every other stage or screen combat weapon you do. The course runs for three weekends. You must attend all days to be eligible for certification with the BASSC.

About the Event
Ready to fight like a Musketeer? Want a head start on how to use other swords? Rapier & Dagger will give you the techniques and principles used in all stage combat weapon systems including: fundamental safety techniques, performance principles - what makes it work for an audience or camera, and acting the fight - how to make it believable to an audience .
The course will focus initially on technique and then students will learn a rapier & dagger choreography with a partner which will be incorporated into a dramatic scene and then rehearsed and performed as their Fight Performance Exam to certify with the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat in Rapier & Dagger. This is an industry-recognised qualification.
Dates and times:
Saturdays 21st, 28th January and 4th February: 10.00 - 18.00
Sundays 22nd, 29th January and 5th February: 14.00 - 20.00
You must attend all days to be eligible for certification.
No prior experience needed.
You must be over 18 to take part.
